Eccentric reducer with different diameters at both ends is used to connect pipes or flanges of different diameters for reducing diameter. The nozzles at both ends of the eccentric reducer are on the same axis. When reducing the diameter, if the position of the pipe is calculated based on the axis, the position of the pipe will remain unchanged. It is usually used to reduce the diameter of gas or vertical liquid pipelines.

The two ends of the eccentric reducer are internally connected to the circumference of the nozzle and are generally used in horizontal liquid pipelines. When the cutting point of the eccentric large and small nozzle is upward, it is called top flat installation. It is generally used for pump procurement, which is conducive to exhaust. When the cutting point is downward, it becomes bottom flat installation. It is generally used for the installation of regulating valves and for exhaust. Eccentric reducers are beneficial for fluid flow and have less interference with fluid flow during diameter reduction. Therefore, concentric reducers are used for gas and vertical liquid pipelines. Due to the eccentricity, the side of the large and small head is flat, making it convenient for exhaust or drainage, driving, and maintenance. Therefore, horizontally installed liquid pipelines generally use eccentric reducers.

The shrinkage forming process of eccentric small head: It is to place a pipe blank with the same diameter as the large end of the reducer into the forming mold, apply pressure along the axial direction of the pipe blank, and make the metal move along the mold cavity and shrink to form. According to the size of the reducer diameter change, it can be divided into one-time compression molding or multiple compression molding.

The characteristics of eccentric small head: It is a type of carbon steel with significantly higher strength than carbon steel with the same carbon content, and has good toughness and plasticity, as well as good weldability and corrosion resistance.
